Making Short Films with Upstream Pictures
In college at Marshall University, I met Roger Turner Jr., who was building Upstream Pictures with Dylan Murphy, and I've been part of that story since the beginning. The first thing we ever shot together was a short called Loose Ends, filmed overnight at a bar in New York the night I first met Dylan (watch it here). Over the years we've made seven-plus short films, usually with me as assistant director, director of photography, second camera, or associate producer. A few made real festival runs. It's technically still active, just not a big part of my day-to-day right now. When it's time to work together again, we will.

Two brothers agree to a paid clinical study, a stay-in-the-apartment vaccine trial with COVID-era echoes. Before going in, they pick up weed unknowingly laced with PCP, and spend the short tweaking, forgetting their names, where they are, even that they're brothers, before it comes back to them at the end.
